Art has always been a passion in my life. When I was younger I was interested in comic books and video games and they inspired me to get into art, so throughout my teenage years I drew in the styles of my favourite comic book artists. This has continued to have an influence on my drawing styles today.

I later did a BTEC 1st and a Foundation Degree in Art and Design.
These courses gave me the chance to expand my skills and practice in a variety of other disciplines, including; ceramics, glass, woodwork, print and photography . This has given me a good background and understanding of traditional methods.

More recently I started a Degree in Video Game Art and design which effectively combines traditional and modern art methods. Throughout the course I have become proficient in using a range of 3D software including; 3DS Max, Crazy Bump, Zbrush and UDK, while incorporating skills I already had such as using Photoshop.

While I still strive to improve my artistic skills in all areas such as 3D modelling and digital methods, I  prefer traditional drawing. I feel much more connected with my art when its just me and a pencil.
